How fast do you ship?
Orders placed before 2:00 PM EST on a business day ship the same day. Everything else leaves our US warehouse the next business day.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping on every order over $50 within the contiguous United States.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the United States. For international or freight-forwarding inquiries, email service@easy-lifting.com.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You will receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships.
Choosing the Right Strap
What is the difference between break strength and working load limit?
Break strength is the load at which the strap physically fails — it is the number in big print on the package. Working load limit (WLL) is the safe working capacity, and it is typically one-third of the break strength. So a strap with a 10,000 lb break strength has a 3,333 lb WLL.
Always size by the working load limit, never by the break strength. For commercial loads, DOT rules require the aggregate WLL of your tie-downs to be at least 50% of the cargo weight.
How do I know what width strap I need?
As a general guide for a four-point tie-down:

What is the difference between a flat hook, a J-hook, and a soft loop?
- Flat hook — hooks over the side rail or rub rail of a flatbed or trailer. The standard for commercial flatbed work.
- Double J-hook — hooks into D-rings, anchor points, or stake pockets. Most versatile for pickups and enclosed trailers.
- Snap hook — clips onto an eyelet or D-ring and stays put. Common on car haulers.
- Soft loop — a webbing loop that wraps around an axle, fork, or frame component without scratching it. The correct choice for securing a vehicle by its wheels or axles.
What is the advantage of a retractable ratchet strap?
Self-retracting straps pull excess webbing back into the housing with a press of the handle. No loose webbing flapping in the wind, no rat's nest in your toolbox, and faster setup every time. Our 1" x 12 ft retractable straps are our best-selling product for exactly this reason.
Using Your Straps
How do I properly secure a load?
- Inspect the strap before every use — look for cuts, fraying, UV damage, or bent hardware. Replace anything damaged.
- Attach the anchor end to your anchor point and the ratchet end to the opposite side, so the ratchet sits above the load where you can reach it.
- Thread the webbing through the ratchet mandrel correctly, then crank until the strap is tight with no slack.
- Use at least two straps for any load, and four for anything long or heavy. Straps should pull in opposing directions to prevent shifting.
What is the #1 mistake people make with ratchet straps?
Over-tightening. Cranking past “snug” crushes cargo, damages the webbing, and stresses the ratchet mechanism. Tight enough to eliminate movement — no tighter.
Can I use ratchet straps for overhead lifting?
No. Tie-down straps are for securing loads, not for overhead lifting. Use rated lifting slings for that.
How should I store my straps?
Keep them out of direct sunlight when not in use, coiled and dry. UV exposure is what kills polyester webbing over time.
